Port de la Selva Residential Complex

stage: Concept design

surface: 12.750 m2

client: Batlle Esteban

type: Residential,

Port de la Selva, Spain

Residential area of 70 terraced single-family properties set out in four three-storey blocks ground, first and second floors), and a communal area with swimming pool and paddle-tennis court. The idea of the project is to break with the traditional (and often eclectic) language of the area and take a bet on a contemporary language that has common points with the Mediterranean architecture: cubic composition, neutral colours, terraces and overhangs, interplay of shadows, etc. It is respectful of the natural environment minimising the visual impact and topographical adaptation, and bears in mind the position of the sun to make the most of the natural light and reduce drops in temperature, preserving the interior from the strong impact of the setting sun.
